When to wear an ankle chain?
When we say ‘ankle chain’, it's true that we all instinctively think of the beach, the sun, light outfits and bare feet in the sand. For many, the ankle chain is a piece of summer jewellery. It's true that it's the ideal time to wear one. But anklets can also be worn in spring, or even in autumn when temperatures are still fairly mild.
Can ankle chains be worn with or without shoes?
A bracelet around the ankle when you're barefoot on the beach is, of course, very pretty. In a swimming costume and with your feet in the sand, the ankle chain is clearly visible and dresses up your leg beautifully.
But you can also wear an anklet with shoes such as flip-flops and sandals, or with low trainers, ballet flats or moccasins. The chain will then appear above the shoe, for a summery look. And if you're wearing socks in your trainers, it can also be pretty to see the chain falling over them, especially on a feminine sock model with scalloped edging or rhinestones, etc. However, in the middle of winter, when you're wearing trousers and ankle boots or other high boots, it's obvious that the ankle chain won't be visible.
